Fun Baking Time

I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing weekend like I did. I even tempted to bake this weekend. I am so in love with this website bakerella.com and I got inspiration to make these tiny little apple pie bites ! My play niece was at the house visiting and she is 6 years old so she was my little assistant. I thought I had all the ingredients and had to go to the store 3 different times, talking about annoying.
I am not a chef so first mental note to self :

• check to make sure you have all the ingredients instead of mentally going through the cabinets in your head.

Once I had all the ingredients my play niece, I call her "punkin " and I started preparing everything. It was fun and they actually came out really good. I let my parents try them and they even liked it ! I was proud of myself.

I picked the prettiest looking ones because most of them got stuck to the mini muffin pan. Second mental note to self :

• Do not let a 6 year old grease the mini muffin pan !

Punkin and I did a really good job and she absolutely loved them. I must admit I do not like to cook but I am getting practice in for when I finally do become a wife to my lovely boyfriend.

Birthday Announcement

I can finally announce what I am planning on doing for my big three to the O birthday celebration ! As I mentioned in a previous post I wanted to go to an island and just relax, but plans have changed and I am doing what I call an East Coast Sweep ! I am taking the party up to my boyfriend in Pennsylvania and we are going to sweep up the East Coast ! I am going to do a few days in Pa., a day in New York and hopefully have some time to party in Atlantic City all in 5 days ! I am excited. I wanted to ski while I was up there but it won't be cold enough next month for all that so I figured why not do what I do best and do some shopping !

I tried to avoid doing what I call another "working vacation" but for some reason it has been my thing the last few years..and going to a few different states in 5 days is going to be work ! I am up for the challenge. I grew up in Pa and going to New York was a regular thing for me, but my boyfriend and my best friend live up there so I am happy I get to celebrate with them !

I am also going to be doing a giveaway soon because it is my birthday month next month so I will be announcing all the details for that soon enough ! Happy Friday people and have a nice cocktail tonight because you made it through the week..hehehe !

Sonam's Birthday V-interview

I finally figured out how to use the Movie Maker...somewhat ?!!?! I went to dinner at a chic little spot called Noche over the weekend for my friends birthday ! She is so funny I had to do a v-interview (video interview.) It's funny and so Sonam ! Enjoy and Happy Birthday Sonam !

Figuring Out Vblogging

The last 2 days I have taken my spare time to try and upload my first Vblog/ I have movie maker Vista on my computer and I can honestly say I didn't realize how hard it is to edit a 2 minute video clip. I had every intention on uploading it this evening but I am still trying to figure it out. You would think they would make these sort of things really simple just a click of a button (ya I wish). My eyes are blurry because I have been sitting here for a couple of hours and now I am sleepy so I will figure this out tomorrow and hopefully have the vblog up by the evening sometime !!

Time To Move On

These last couple of days at work have been insane ! I can't stand my job or most of the people I work with. When you work in a small office there is always someone that will hate on your progress and try and bring you down. I on the other hand have strong faith that there will be doors opening for me soon. I have to step out on faith ! Next month is my birthday and I think it is time to take real risks ! The next couple of months and going into the new year I am going to make some HUGE changes. I want to go back to college and start a real career path and as long as I let fear hold me back I will remain where I am . I am officially putting it on the record that there is NO more fear and it is all FAITH !! I believe in me and I know I can do this. I am really going to take some time this weekend and look into what school I would like to attend and make some real changes !!

How I met my Best Friend

I am feeling much better today, I must admit yesterday I was so annoyed and today is a new day so I am doing the writers workshop from over at one of my favorite blogs Mama Kat's Losin' It ! I chose to write my prompt on How I met my Best friend !

To be honest I have known my bff since birth. My mom and her mom went to high school together so we just grew up together. We went to grade school and high school together and we are still partners in crime ! In high school I had my own private phone line and when I would get grounded my parents would take my phone from me. My bestie would always come to the rescue and bring me in a phone so i can plug it in my wall and continue chatting with friends until the wee hours of the night. That was until her mom realized one of her phones were missing from the house and called my mom ! She is just so sweet and I can honestly say that she has been there for me through thick and thin. She came to celebrate with me for my 29th birthday last year in Sin City she was one of the ones that said, "screw the economy lets go to Sin City " ! I love her and we will be besties when we are rolling our wheelchairs down a nursing home hall way..haha ! P.S She does not like this picture and she does read my blog from time to time and when she see's this she will hurt me..but I like this picture she is totally channeling her inner diva/model !

Too Much Going On !

Okay so I just have too much going on right now and things are just plain annoying !

• I am still trying to book my fabulous birthday trip with my lovely boyfriend. We found a travel agent to work with but she is hard to get in touch with so it has been crazy trying to get with her schedule and ours to.

• I am starting to think about my holiday cards and this year I think I am going to do a recipe card...super cute ! The problem is I don't cook and I don't enjoy it but I was thinking about chocolate covered pretzels or sugar coated nuts ?? Yeah I know it isn't really anything to that but it's a start for a non-cooker and I may even send them with my recipe card.

• Most of my friends have children so it is hard to catch up with them and just hang out and chill. I understand that children take up lots of time but how hard is it to call a "friend" and just say hi ?? I don't get it and why is it always that I am invited to a kid party every other weekend...yes seriously ! I mean come on I do HAVE A LIFE !!

All these things combined are annoying me well not so much the holiday cards but the kid parties and the booking of my well deserved long awaited vacation is just driving me nuts !! Hopefully by the end of the week I will have my vacation booked and I will let you all know where we have decided to go !
